So I'm going to be getting an apartment in the next 4 - 6 months and I need advice. Cheapest way to get furniture that won't give me rashes or worse - in a small town? Best way to sell extraneous crap comprised largely of books and that comprised largely of old lit text books? How do you internet subscription?

For furniture: Craigslist. Goodwill. (the disadvantage of both of these is that you have to have some means of transport to get the furniture to your apartment) Alternatively, some furniture stores have package deals where you can get an apartment's worth of furniture for a couple thousand dollars. As a bulk sum, that can be daunting, but it's cheap in the long run, compared to what it can be like to start from scratch. That's what we did when we moved here to Frederick and we got a couch, armchair, coffee table, side table, lamp, dining room set & chairs, full sized bed with frame & headboard, dresser with mirror, one night stand (we paid for a second, matching night stand) and a second lamp. So it's a considerable amount of furniture for what we paid and they delivered & set all the furniture up for us(for an additional sum). Walmart, Target and IKEA are also places you can get pieces for pretty cheap.
Best way to sell things: Yard sale, or craigslist.
